# Configuring access to team permission sets

{% hint style="info" %}
**Required permission:** Manage user access within the team
{% endhint %}

From the **Team Permission Sets** list, you can grant or revoke access to a team permission set. Team permission sets can be assigned to individual users and to SSO groups within the team.

Access to workspace permission sets is managed from **Workspaces** view. For more information, go to [Sharing workspace access](/app/workspace/workspace-access-management/workspace-sharing.md).

You cannot change the assignment of the team permission set that is assigned to all team users. Initially, this is the Team Member permission set, but it can be changed to a different permission set.

Before you assign a team permission set to an SSO group, make sure that you are aware of who is in the group. The permissions that are granted to an SSO group automatically are granted to all of the users in the group. For information on how to configure Structural to filter the allowed SSO groups, go to [Synchronizing SSO groups with Structural](/app/structural-user-access/single-sign-on/sso-limit-groups.md).

To manage the permission set assignment:

1. On the **Team Permission Sets** list, for the permission set to manage, click **Manage Access**.

2. To grant access to an additional user or group:

   1. Begin to type the user or group name.
   2. In the list of matching users or groups, click the user or group name.

   Until you save the changes, to remove a user or group that you added, click **Undo**.
3. To remove access from an existing user or group, click **Revoke** for that user or group.
4. To save the changes to the permission set access, click **Save**.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.tonic.ai/app/structural-user-access/permissions/team-permissions/configuring-access-to-team-permission-sets.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
