# Joining an existing Fabricate account

If your organization has an Enterprise Fabricate account, then you can join as an individual user within the organization.

When you join an account, it is counted against the allowed [user seats](/fabricate/about-fabricate/fabricate-license-plans.md#about-user-seats-for-the-enterprise-plan) for your organization.

## Based on email address domain

Your organization can be configured with a list of email address domains that belong to it.

When a user signs up with an email address that uses one of the organization email address domains:

1. Fabricate sends an email message for you to confirm the email address.
2. After you confirm the email address, Fabricate adds you to the organization account.

## Single sign-on (SSO)

If the organization uses SSO for Fabricate user management, then they can grant you access to Fabricate in your SSO provider.

After you are granted access, to join the organization in Fabricate:

1. Go to the Fabricate login page.
2. Enter your email address.
3. Fabricate detects that your email address domain is configured as an allowed SSO domain for your organization.
4. Fabricate redirects you to authenticate with the SSO provider.
5. After you authenticate, the SSO provider redirects you to Fabricate.

## Invitation

If your organization does not use SSO, then before you can join the account, the account owner must invite you.

In the email invitation, click the link to Fabricate.

Fabricate prompts you to create a password for your user profile.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.tonic.ai/fabricate/fabricate-accounts-and-users/managing-account-membership/joining-an-existing-fabricate-account.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
