# Deleting a local database or database connection

To delete a local database or a database connection:

1. Hover over the database or connection name.
2. Click the delete icon.
3. On the confirmation panel, click **Delete Database**.

You can also prompt the Data Agent to delete a database or connection. For example:

`Delete My extra database.`

The Agent prompts you to confirm the deletion.
