# Navigating the project databases and files

The project navigation contains a tree structure of the project's:

* Local databases
* Database connections
* Simulation results
* Generated files
* Uploaded files

## Viewing local databases and database connections

For a database or Live Connect database connection, the project tree structure contains the database tables.

To display the list of tables for a database or a Live Connect database connection, click the database or connection name.

<figure><img src="https://4109733485-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FmoU4gTR9LxlzHeWmQCUZ%2Fuploads%2FmzoPEZP1B2S1EaEPaZi1%2FProject_NavigationDatabaseExpanded.png?alt=media&amp;token=f598f3fb-ade4-44ba-a82a-89ed5c082818" alt=""><figcaption><p>Project navigation with a database table list</p></figcaption></figure>

To display the details for a table, click the table name.

## Viewing simulation results

{% hint style="info" %}
The simulations feature requires an Enterprise license.
{% endhint %}

When you run a simulation workflow, Fabricate creates a simulation result database that includes an overview of the simulation followed by the simulation artifacts.

For more information, go to [Exploring the simulation results](/fabricate/databases-and-data/simulations/simulation-explore-results.md).

## Viewing generated and uploaded files

In the project navigation:

* **Artifacts** contains files that Fabricate generated. This includes generated unstructured files and exported data files.\
  \
  Note that exported data files are only added to **Artifacts** when the data export was triggered by a prompt to the Data Agent. If you use the **Export** option on the table details page, then the file is not added to **Artifacts**.&#x20;
* **Uploads** contains files that you uploaded.

These folders are always displayed separately at the bottom of the tree structure.

To expand or collapse the list, click the folder.&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://4109733485-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FmoU4gTR9LxlzHeWmQCUZ%2Fuploads%2FZ7VjspnZgDSmhNDK3eMN%2FProject_NavigationArtifactsUploads.png?alt=media&amp;token=47737fbd-6ebc-4571-b9bd-89ab68ff2bdb" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Displaying the contents of a folder

**Artifacts** and **Uploads** can contain both individual files and folders.

When you click a folder, the details page displays the folder content.

<figure><img src="https://4109733485-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FmoU4gTR9LxlzHeWmQCUZ%2Fuploads%2FJCP46ipfPAxUuwjSde9t%2FProject_NavigationFolderContents.png?alt=media&amp;token=9c88f20d-8289-4c0f-9542-ebc0e90c2c73" alt=""><figcaption><p>Details page with the list of files in a selected folder</p></figcaption></figure>

### Displaying a file preview

When you click a file, the details page displays a preview of the file. Note that you cannot preview .zip files.

<figure><img src="https://4109733485-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FmoU4gTR9LxlzHeWmQCUZ%2Fuploads%2FFqJnrSvZPJZy6Pe0GMAC%2FProject_NavigationFilePreview.png?alt=media&amp;token=9b576c2a-9b71-46f1-bad7-68c1fc43841b" alt=""><figcaption><p>Preview of a generated file</p></figcaption></figure>

### Navigating to the Data Agent prompt where the file was added

To navigate to the point in the agent chat where you uploaded or generated the folder or file, click **Open in Chat**.

### Downloading a folder or file

To download the contents of a folder to a .zip file, on the folder file list, click **Download zip**.

To download an individual file, on the file preview, click **Download**.

## Organizing content into folders

To manage project databases and simulation results, you can group them into folders.

<figure><img src="https://4109733485-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FmoU4gTR9LxlzHeWmQCUZ%2Fuploads%2FwIgCU34IKYwVCfBD819i%2FProject_NavigationWithFolders.png?alt=media&amp;token=f0b1ca18-7142-40f0-8d78-2ce0ad618ea9" alt=""><figcaption><p>Project navigation with databases in folders</p></figcaption></figure>

You can also add folders manually to **Artifacts** and **Uploads**.

### Moving items between folders

To move a database into a folder, drag and drop it to the folder.

You can also drag and drop folders into other folders.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.tonic.ai/fabricate/projects/project-database-list.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
