Monitoring the disk space usage and configuring the alert threshold

By default, Tonic Ephemeral has a disk storage alert threshold of 100 gigabytes. You can change the alert threshold, or disable the threshold.

If the threshold is enabled, then when the databases and cache snapshots use more than the threshold, Ephemeral displays a warning.

The Ephemeral heading displays of the total storage currently used by the databases and snapshots. If the storage threshold is enabled, then the storage display includes the limit.

To view more details about the current storage usage, and configure the storage limit:

  1. In the Ephemeral heading, click the storage usage value. The Disk Storage Settings panel displays the amount of storage currently used, with color coding to indicate the proportion used by databases and snapshots. If there is a disk storage alert threshold, then the storage currently used is also displayed in proportion to the threshold value.

  2. To configure a disk storage alert threshold:

    1. Toggle Enable storage threshold alert to the on position.

    2. In the field, type the limit in gigabytes.

  1. To disable the disk storage limit, toggle Enable storage threshold alert to the off position.
